As an energy engineering student, you can help keep society moving, flying and running and help solve fundamental energy-related issues that affect people across borders and continents. Energy engineering students help identify and define future energy sources such as wind turbines, solar panels, fuel cells and biofuels. You will learn about novel energy technologies and help to optimise existing apparatus and systems to reduce energy consumption.

Industry wants such graduates with cooperation skills, and you will hone these in project and group work. Energy engineers are in short supply – Denmark will lack 13,500 engineers in 2025. Academic content

You can choose between the following Master of Science (MSc) in Energy Engineering specialisations:

All specialisations include research-based teaching, applying the latest technologies. You will work by means of Problem-Based Learning to solve a real-life problem together with fellow students.

This is a full-time study programme with problem-based project work in groups. You will be working closely with other students most of the time, and you will be required to be present at the university on a daily basis and for the vast majority of your day.

AAU collaborates with external companies, and you will have an opportunity to do your semester projects with these companies to gain real-life, hands-on experience while you are studying.
